Sunday marks the 18th Penguin Plunge fundraiser in Nyack to benefit some local kids with high medical bills. Barbara Noyes runs the event, and says they’ll be raising money for three area children and their families…
The plunge will also benefit 12 year-old Brielle Gaine of Tappan, who was diagnosed with neuro-fibro-matosis when she was an infant, and five year-old Luke Garrecht, also of Tappan, who suffers from epilepsy and a rare genetic disorder called KBG Syndrome. Orangetown supervisor Teresa Kenny says she’ll be there to watch others brave the icy Hudson River for a worthy cause…
