The 24th Annual Ramapo River Watershed Conference is being held tomorrow morning at Ramapo College. Geoff Welch is one of the organizers of the event, and says the day kicks off with a presentation and discussion about logging in the forest highlands of New Jersey…
Friday’s event features various speakers, and includes presentations on “The Pompton Lake Case: DuPont Vs. NJ” and another on Pete Seeger, the singer and environmental activist who would have celebrated his 100th birthday tomorrow. The event begins at 9:30 and runs until about 4PM, and it’s in the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College in Mahwah. It’s free but registration is required…to do that, send an email to Geoff – his email address is geoffwelch@gmail.com.
