An area lawmaker coming to the end of his term says he’ll be involved locally but didn’t exactly say yet how that would be. David Carlucci’s spent the last decade as state senator covering much of Rockland, and told “The Morning Show” yesterday he’s staying put in New City where he lives, and he won’t be a stranger…
Carlucci says he’s not ruling out another run for political office in the future. Carlucci gave up his Senate seat to run for Congress, but lost in the primary to the eventual winner, Mondaire Jones, a lawyer from South Nyack. Village of Nyack trustee Elijah Reichlin-Melnick won Carlucci’s senate seat, and a spokesman confirmed he would be taking over Carlucci’s Tuesday 8:45 time slot starting January 12th.
