An area lawmaker is pleased the three propositions on Tuesday’s ballot that aimed to expand voting initiatives in New York went down in defeat. Props 1, 3 and 4 dealt with a host of redistricting issues, would have enacted same-day voter registration, and offered a “no excuse” absentee ballot.
