New York’s governor won’t be impeached by the state Assembly after all…the investigation was stopped Friday by Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie. The speaker said there were concerns over constitutional issues in addition to the investigations by law enforcement. Heastie said no deal was made with Cuomo regarding the investigation. Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul takes over August 24th and she’s already indicated she plans to run for the office in 2022.
