Take a Hike Monday in Sparkill with a NYS Senator

Rockland’s state senator wants you to take a hike…with him…on Monday! Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick says anyone is welcome to come along for a stroll through Tallman Mountain State Park in Sparkill Monday evening…

The Boulders game against the Tri-City ValleyCats was postponed due to rain. They head out to Washington, Pennsylvania, for a three-game series against the Wild Things, game time tonight 7pm.

NY Boulders Split Double Header with Tri-City ValleyCats

The New York Boulders took on the Tri-City ValleyCats last night in games two and three of their four-game series, they played a double header last night. In game one, the Boulders had the lead thanks to a seven-run 4th inning, but in 7th inning the ValleyCats were threatening…

Local Haitian Community in Shock Following Assassination of Haiti’s President

Many in the Haitian community here in Rockland are in shock following yesterday’s assassination of the country’s president, Jovenel Moïse in a gun attack at his home outside Port-au-Prince early Wednesday morning. Seema Roc is the president and host of the Panic Radio Show here on WRCR which focuses on Haitian culture. Roc says she and other journalists got to meet president Moïse a few years ago on a trip to Haiti…

Published reports said four of the president’s suspected assassins, who allegedly tried to disguise themselves as U.S. DEA agents, were killed by police last night, and two others were arrested. Haiti’s ambassador to the United States said Moïse’s wife, Martine, was in critical but stable condition after the attack in their home by a group of unidentified gunmen. She was taken to Miami for treatment.
