The Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley is reportedly being sued by former security guard Sandra Wilson’s family for failing to protect her from the man charged with her murder. The Journal News says the federal lawsuit reportedly claims 26 year-old Blanchard Glaudin had repeatedly asked Wilson to go out but was turned down. Sandra Wilson died after being stabbed last February. He’s pleaded not guilty in Rockland County Court.

Pearl River Group Gets Grant to Help Families Impacted by Detention and Deportation
A Pearl River group got a $2,500 grant to purchase and distribute food to 200 local immigrant families. Jeff Shalom of “Rockland Jews for Immigrant Justice” is working with another group, “Proyecto Faro,” which supports families impacted by detention and deportation. Nyack Shooting Under Investigation by Orangetown Police
Details are scant at this time, but Orangetown Police are investigating a shooting incident from last night in Nyack. Police say the shooting occurred around 7:15 Sunday on Franklin Street.
