Two women were reportedly attacked by a knife-wielding woman last night in Haverstraw. News 12 reports the incident occurred near Liberty and Main Streets. The victims reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have yet been made.

Yonkers Teen Turns Himself in for Fatal Shooting of Innocent Bystander
A 15-year-old accused of fatally shooting an innocent bystander last month in Yonkers turned himself in early Tuesday morning. Published reports say Jamir Thompson’s accused of killing 18-year-old Marilyn Cotto Montanez while she and her 9 year-old sister were going to get pizza. Montanez was not the intended target of the shooting. Thompson is being held without bail. As a juvenile offender, he’ll face a maximum of seven and a half years to life in prison on a charge of second degree murder.
Rockland BOCES Family Resource Center Foundation Hosting Fundraiser Tonight in Haverstraw
The Rockland BOCES Family Resource Center Foundation is hosting a cocktail party fundraiser tonight in Haverstraw to help support three programs for its students. The Backpack Program, the Hardship Fund and the Hilltop After-School Program assist needy BOCES students.
