If you’ve got an electronic device that’s not working but you can’t part with it because you think it may still have some life left, or maybe a chair that you need help fixing or some clothing that’s in need of some patchwork or stitching and it’ll be just fine, you might want to bring that stuff to West Nyack this weekend. Rockland County’s third Repair Café is Sunday at the Rockland BOCES Jesse Kaplan School. County Executive Ed Day says the first two events were very popular, and very helpful…
Howard Phillips heads up the County Solid Waste Management Authority which is co-hosting the event, and he agrees it’s better to recycle old items so they stay out of area landfills…
The Repair Cafe runs from 10 am – 2 pm at the Kaplan school in West Nyack off Parrot Road this Sunday. They’ll try to fix just about anything EXCEPT items with gas engines, such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, or gas-powered landscaping equipment. For more information, or to call ahead to check if a volunteer Repair Coach can fix your item, call 845-364-2932 or e-mail rcsc@co.rockland.ny.us.
