Rocklanders came out to the “Walk with Heroes” donor-registration health fair at Palisades Center in West Nyack Sunday to show their support for organ donation in New York. The state ranks last on the list in this country when it comes to the numbers of registered organ donors. Debbie Vobroucek is the vice-president of the Rockland Organ Donation Alliance, or RODA, and says it’s a shame people are dying in New York because they can’t get a life-saving organ donation…

Funeral Mass is scheduled for ten AM this morning for the former Chief of the South Nyack-Grand View Police Department who died Wednesday. 69 year-old Alan Colsey, who chased down and helped arrest three suspects in the 1981 Brinks case, served the department for 31 years until June 2004. Orange & Rockland and Con Edison have been fined more than $82 million to settle claims over their response to Tropical Storm Isaias. You may recall heavy winds and rain left more than 1.5 million customers without power last summer. The New York Public Service Commission approved the settlement last week, though they had originally sought $137 million late last year.

Published reports said Governor Andrew Cuomo was questioned by Attorney General investigators on Saturday over allegations of sexual harassment against him. Western Ramapo and Orange County Assemblyman Karl Brabenec told WRCR earlier this month that the process takes a long time…

But the interview of the governor over the weekend could be a sign that things are close to wrapping up. Both the Assembly and the Attorney General launched investigations in March, covering various allegations against the governor, including sexual harassment and his COVID book deal. The FBI and federal prosecutors are also investigating Cuomo and the nursing home crisis in the early stages of the pandemic.
