A judge has ruled that a vote must be taken again by the Clarkstown town board in the case of its former police chief who was suspended after he was found guilty of misusing Police Department communications. In September 2017, the Town Council voted to fire suspended Police Chief Michael Sullivan, but published reports said the judge ruled Supervisor George Hoehmann and a former councilman had conflicts of interest.

The Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade is being held on Sunday in Pearl River, and this year it actually falls on Saint Patrick’s Day. The parade kicks off Sunday at 1:30 from the Pfizer parking lot. It’ll head East on Crooked Hill Road, turn right on Middletown Road and then right on Central Avenue and then south on Main Street ending near the Post Office and train station. If you are driving to get there, get there early and expect lots of traffic when you leave.
