A Stony Point man who suffered severe burns in what appears to be an accident Saturday has died. Published reports say 84 year-old Matt Waldron died Sunday morning. Waldron and his wife, Eleanor, were injured early Saturday morning while he was working on machinery in their garage. An investigation into the cause of the accident continues.

NY Legislature Expected to Take up Gun Reform Bills Today
The New York State Senate and Assembly are expected to consider a package of comprehensive gun reform bills today on an extended waiting period, a ban on the sale and possession of bump stocks, and other reforms. Rockland State Senator David Carlucci was joined Sunday by area advocates for gun violence prevention in New City to show their support for the bills.

Stony Point Garage Fire Sends Two to Hospital with Severe Burns, Injuries
An unidentified husband and wife from Stony Point were severely injured Saturday when an apparently accidental fire ignited in their garage. Published reports say the husband was working on machinery when he caught fire. The wife was burned when she attempted to put the fire out. The man was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, the wife was taken there by ambulance. No additional information was available.
