The New York Boulders are hosting a Job Fair tomorrow to fill concessions staff jobs. Boulders VP Seth Cantor says applicants will be needed to begin working the May 22nd exhibition game against the NYPD…
The Boulders make their Frontier League debut on May 27th at home against the Washington Wild Things. Tomorrow’s Job Fair runs from 10 to 2 at the ballpark in Pomona.

To celebrate their 125th anniversary, the Piermont Library and the Piermont Historical Society want residents to use the Zoom video conferencing platform to interview parents and grandparents to create a digital history collection for “Project Piermont Remembers.” Kristine Palacios is the Piermont Library’s Director, and says if you have a story about Piermont, they want to hear it…

It could be another month before New York’s Attorney General’s independent report over sexual harassment claims made against the governor comes out. Rockland Assemblyman Mike Lawler says the assembly’s failure to bring impeachment proceedings, and going instead with an investigation, served only as a delay tactic to help the governor and get through the budget process …
There’s also the ongoing federal investigation into the governor’s handling of nursing homes during the pandemic. And while the Federal Highway Administration has found no safety concerns with the new Tappan Zee Bridge, Rockland Congressman Mondaire Jones and others have asked the Department of Transportation to review potential structural deficiencies of the bridge.

Cuomo was referring to his request of the Biden administration and Congress to repeal the SALT cap on property tax deductions that the previous administration enacted. The state’s millionaire tax plan also does not have the support of the head of the Rockland Business Association. CNBC says it could generate more than $4 billion in revenue.

There’s a new curfew for restaurants and bars starting next week. Closing for them on Monday will be moved from 11 p.m. to midnight, so you get another hour. The curfew for catered events will move from midnight to 1 a.m.
COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost one more to COVID, the total is 941. We’ve got 43 hospitalized confirmed with coronavirus, and 1,482 active cases. Our total case count is 45,345, that’s 100 more than Wednesday.
