An Orange County woman had to be medi-vac’d to Westchester Medical Center yesterday following a one-car crash on the southbound Palisades Parkway in Stony Point. State Police say the accident occurred around 9:40 yesterday morning when a BMW driven by 25 year-old Taylor Robinson flipped over after entering the Parkway from Route 6. State Police say witnesses had seen the car earlier traveling only on three wheels. Robinson and her dog were ejected from the car. Robinson suffered a concussion and other injuries, her dog died. The crash is under investigation.
State Pulls J&J Vaccine, Rockland Loses Five More to COVID
The state is only going to be distributing the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines for now. Governor Andrew Cuomo said they decided to pull the Johnson and Johnson vaccine after the federal government yesterday announced they were pausing the use of J&J following reports of six people that got rare blood clots…
All six cases occurred among women between the ages of 18 and 48, and symptoms occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination, one was fatal, and another is reportedly in critical condition. Many pharmacies are also pulling the J&J vaccine.

Nyack Man Charged with Selling Illegal Handguns
A Nyack man has been arrested and accused of selling illegal guns. Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh says Darren Jemison turned himself in last week. The County Drug Task Force and Orangetown Police have been working the illegal gun investigation since January 2020. Jemison is accused of selling two loaded Taurus 9mm pistols and a loaded Taurus .38 special revolver near the Nyack Plaza housing complex.

College students could have an easier time getting their COVID shots. 21,000 doses of vaccine will be distributed to SUNY schools and 14,000 will go to private colleges in New York. They’ll be given to residential and non-commuter students who are leaving their schools for the summer.
