Christian Herald Road in Valley Cottage had to be shut down yesterday afternoon after a fire struck an area home. The road was closed near Storms Road and Route 9W with traffic being diverted onto Mountainview Avenue. No additional details were available.

Hochul previously served as Clerk for Erie County and was a one-term congressional representative for the Buffalo region, before running with Cuomo in 2014. Cuomo has denied the accusations being made against him and has insisted he is not resigning.
NY Legislature Passes Marijuana Bill
New York lawmakers have passed a bill that would legalize adult use of marijuana. The AP says bill now goes to Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has said he will sign it. The Senate voted 40-23 and it passed the Assembly by a vote of 100-49.

Starting today, New Yorkers over the age of 30 are eligible to make an appointment and get vaccinated. On April 6th, everyone over the age of 16 will qualify for the vaccine.
