Spring Valley Police are investigating a dead body found in a wooded area off Dutch Lane last week. The Journal News reported the woman is African-American around 60 years old. There was some cloud cover, but the eclipse was still visible with the special glasses. It didn’t get too dark, but the temperature did noticeably drop the more the sun was covered. The next time our area will get the chance to witness a total solar eclipse will be in 55 years. The eclipse did manage to cancel Monday’s regular tele-town hall event in Clarkstown. World Parkinson’s Day Celebration Comes to Clover Stadium in Pomona Thursday

Friday’s Earthquake Hits as Rockland State Senator Broadcasts Show on WRCR
Did you feel the quake? No reports of damage but many were jostled Friday morning as a 4.8 and aftershocks rumbled across the Northeast.
