That was Rockland County Executive Ed Day and members of his executive team dumping buckets of ice water on their heads earlier this week to raise awareness of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Day challenged Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco to participate and help spread the word about ALS. Word is he has accepted that challenge and will do it next week. Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny says her town will be celebrating the tenth anniversary early next month…
The Orangetown “Ice Bucket Challenge” fundraising event is taking place Saturday, September 7th at 1pm at the Veterans Memorial Park Splash Pad, which features a ginormous bucket. The event is open to residents and non-residents as well. Click the link below for more information.
