An African Dance project is now available in Spring Valley for anyone who is interested in learning about art, culture and staying fit. Alexandreena Dixon is the Founder of “Chiku Awali” and says their “BROAD Project” features dance instructors from around the country and the world, each with unique styles…

No injuries reported after a car struck a hose that was being used to fill the diesel tank at the Shell station last evening on Little Tor Road in New City. Clarkstown Police say around 50 gallons of fuel spilled. HazMat cleaned up the scene.

A Rockland lawmaker is hailing a bill signed last week by the governor that makes it easier to prosecute those who try to threaten or harm someone by sending intimate pictures of them over the internet. Rockland assemblyman Ken Zebrowski says the so-called “Sextortion” bill will give prosecutors teeth when previously, such crimes went unprosecuted…
The bill, which becomes effective in December, was part of a package relating to online safety. The new laws will also establish a task force to study the effects of cyber-bullying.
