[UPDATE] Orangetown Police Investigating Fatal Accident Monday Night on Route 304
[UPDATE 11:51AM] Orangetown Police say 25 year-old Christopher Taussi of New City died after he crashed his motorcycle into a guardrail in Pearl River. Police say he was heading north at 10:45 p.m. when the crash occurred on Route 304 near Hillside Avenue.
[Earlier] The northbound lanes of Route 304 near Hillside Avenue in Pearl River have been re-opened. There was a collision there earlier that closed the road for an accident investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident should contact the Orangetown Police at 845-359-3700.
North Rockland Towns to Focus on Budgets on Tonight’s Board Meetings
2022 budgets will be on tonight’s town agendas in North Rockland. The town of Haverstraw is holding their board meeting tonight, as yesterday the town was closed for the holiday. Haverstraw supervisor Howard Phillips says he expects residents to come to town hall to discuss next year’s spending plan…
While Phillips says town police earn their pay, he is concerned overtime is eating away at their budget. The meeting starts at 7pm tonight. Meanwhile, Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan says his town’s budget will be unveiled at tonight’s meeting, and for the first time in 15 years, residents and businesses would get a slight tax decrease…
