The New York Boulders are hosting their first annual Beer and Food Truck Festival tomorrow at their Pomona ballpark. The Boulders’ Ken Kostick says besides the beer, there’ll be food, activities for the kids, and music…

Rocklanders will then be walking in Pomona on Sunday to tackle Alzheimer’s and Dementia. David Sobel is the Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Hudson Valley Chapter, and says 40,000 people in the region suffer from the disease, and for those who haven’t yet been diagnosed, it’s important to be aware of the signs…

Drag racing is an issue in Clarkstown that officials there are looking to bring to a screeching halt. Town supervisor George Hoehmann says Sunday and Thursday nights tend to be the days that keep local police the busiest…

Orangetown could be going out to bid soon for a long-awaited new town hall. Supervisor Teresa Kenny says another project the town was hoping to get done is a community center, has been put on hold for the time being. Kenny says a new all-inclusive playground for Veterans Park in Orangeburg, possibly including a water sprinkle pad, could be completed by next spring…
Of Rockland’s five towns, Orangetown is the only one without a town pool facility.

A Nanuet heart transplant recipient and organ donation advocate is closing in on a personal record, and she might get it today, on Organ Donor Enrollment Day. Roxanne Watson, who hosts the “Michael’s Gifts” organ donation program here on WRCR, has signed up nearly 12,000 registrants for the organ donor rolls here in New York. Roxanne will be at Nyack Hospital today looking to achieve that personal goal and needs just 15 more people to sign up…
