The New York State Thruway Authority says they’ll be installing a new 270-foot-long pedestrian/bicycle bridge over the Thruway in Tarrytown tonight into Saturday morning, and it’ll require overnight lane closures and multiple traffic stops in both directions on today, weather permitting. The bridge will improve access to walking and biking paths on the Tappan Zee Bridge though motorists should expect delays as the work is being done. The work is expected to take about 10 hours, starting at 10pm Friday night and finishing by 8am tomorrow morning.

Entertainment giant Disney could find a successor for its current CEO for real this time sometime this year. WRCR market analyst Ken Mahoney of Mahoney Asset Management in Chestnut Ridge says the likely successor will come from within the Disney corporate family…
In other Disney news, the Associated Press is reporting that Disney workers are suing the company, claiming they were fraudulently induced to move from California to Florida to work in a new office campus, but those plans were later scrapped during the company’s fight with Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis.

MTA Scales Back Plans After Pause in Congestion Pricing Plan
The MTA on Wednesday unveiled scaled-back plans to maintain the transit system — following New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s pause in the controversial congestion pricing program that was scheduled to begin on Sunday. That’s according to “The City Report.” The program was designed to discourage the use of cars in the city to cut down on emissions, courtesy of the increased tolls. The MTA decided to cancel some station repairs, accessibility upgrades, and expansion projects, and delay the purchase of hundreds of electric buses. Rockland State Senator Bill Weber of the 38th district says lawmakers may be called back to Albany next month to sort out the MTA’s funding issues…
In a statement following the board’s vote, Hochul said she’ll work with the agency and the state legislature to find alternative funding streams for the MTA.
