Automakers are committing to making rear seat reminder systems standard equipment on most passenger vehicles sold in the U-S by the 2025 model year. Rockland State Senator David Carlucci says it’s a great move but it’s not enough. Carlucci is looking to pass his bill to require all new vehicles in New York to have a rear alert system by July 2021. 39 year-old Juan Rodriguez of New City was arrested in July after police say he left his one year-old twins in the car while he went to work in the Bronx.
