Do you have what it takes to be the master of your garden and help others as well with their gardening issues? Michael Wilson is a horticultural lab technician with Cornell Cooperative Extension in Stony Point and hosts “The Storm Water Consortium” monthly show here on WRCR. Wilson says if you want to become a Master Gardener, today is the deadline to apply for their program…
Master Gardener Volunteers give back 100 hours of service over a two-year period, and then continue in the program as a certified Master Gardener Volunteer. Activities include teaching gardening to children, adults, educators and community groups; offering lectures and workshops at libraries and schools; creating and staffing horticultural booths at shows and fairs, and more. The class begins in September. For more information to learn how to join the program, you can call CCE’s Horticulture Resource Educator Kristen Ossmann, at 845-429-7085 x108, or click here.
