Bernard Rosenfeld, the mayor of the village of Kaser, died Sunday. Rosenfeld had served as Kaser’s mayor since its founding in 1990. Several Rockland County legislators attended Rosenfeld’s funeral Monday. Ramapo Legislator Aron Wieder called Rosenfeld a “smart, refined and genuinely nice person.” Minority Leader, Lon Hofstein, said Rosenfeld “was a highly respected man who dedicated his life to serving the people.” County Executive Ed Day said Rosenfeld worked tirelessly for the people of Kaser. He was 71.
