As you may have noticed, the weather has been turning colder the last few days, and winter of course is right around the corner. For those who have nowhere to go, the streets are what they call home. An organization that helps the homeless, with roots here in Rockland, is gearing up for its annual event. Kenn Rowell is the founder of Blank-Fest, and for the 27th year, he says they’re holding a benefit concert right here in Nyack to help the homeless in the city, but instead of money, they ask for people to donate blankets…
Rowell says they’ll also take coats, hats, gloves, anything to help keep someone warm this winter. Blank-Fest features over a dozen bands and performers and it all gets underway Sunday from noon until midnight at The Hudson House on Main Street in Nyack.
