The last days of Blood Donor month are winding down but that’s not making the dire blood shortage any less concerning, as the New York Blood Center has been forced to declare a blood emergency. They say a nearly 30% drop in donations has resulted in 6,500 fewer donations, crushing the region’s blood supply. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says having a good blood supply helps everyone…
There’s a blood drive tomorrow in New City from 1-7pm at the American Legion Post 1682 off Route 304 at 65 American Legion Way New City at the corner of Congers Road and 304. There are two blood drives Wednesday, one at the Nanuet library and the other at the JCC in West Nyack. To donate with the New York Blood Center, go to their website, NYBC.org, or check out the Red Cross online at RedCross.org or Vitalant.
