The city of Boston is considering setting up its own version of congestion pricing, but they’re only in the discussion phase and critics are urging lawmakers there to take it slowly. Those gantries were intended to scan each vehicle as it entered the congestion pricing zone. They were erected well before the plan was to be put into effect late last month, though that’s been put on indefinite hold by the governor.
