A sewer discharge problem at Nanuet High School has forced the cancellation of classes today. The district says classes were cancelled for grades 9-12 and there is no access to the high school property for after-school activities. Nanuet elementary and middle school students return tomorrow, their buildings were not affected. Tonight’s Board of Education Meeting has also been cancelled, the next meeting will be held Tuesday, September 20th.

NYS Thruway Re-opened After Fatal Wrong Way Accident in Harriman
All southbound lanes on the New York State Thruway are now clear as State Police have wrapped up their investigation of a fatal wrong-way accident. Police say it happened near Exit 16 in Harriman around 1:00 this morning. Police say the initial investigation found a passenger vehicle was driving northbound in the southbound lanes between Exit 15A in Sloatsburg and Exit 16 in Harriman when it struck another passenger vehicle head-on. No one else was injured. We’ll have more details as soon as they are available.
Report: Four Killed in Crash in Southbound PIP
Four people were reportedly killed in a crash overnight on the southbound Palisades Parkway in New Jersey. That’s according to News 12. The roadway near Englewood Cliffs has since be re-opened after being shut down earlier this morning for the police investigation.
Rockland Lawmakers Tell MTA Panel to Carve Out Discounts for West-of-Hudson Commuters
The MTA’s sixth and final public hearing, for now, was held yesterday seeking more feedback on their controversial Central Business District (CBD) Tolling Program, more commonly known as congestion pricing. Two Downed Trees in Rockland Block Traffic Overnight, Removed Before Morning Commute
Two downed trees in Rockland overnight have been cleared. Officials say downed trees shut down Route 9W near West Shore Drive in Stony Point, and near North Highland Avenue also on 9W in Nyack. No injuries were reported.
