Clarkstown Police say a woman died after falling from the 4th floor of the Palisades Center Mall. She was found on the lower level. Initial reports came in around 12:40 Thursday afternoon. Suffern High School Student Charged with Vehicular Manslaughter and DWI Could Face Charges as an Adult
The 17 year old Suffern High School student charged with the fatal accident that killed a classmate and injured three others last month could be charged as an adult. The unidentified teen faces DWI, vehicular manslaughter and other charges. According to News 12, prosecutors said he was going 70 miles-an-hour in a 45 zone at the time of the crash, and he’s accused of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he struck a telephone pole on Route 202 in Montebello. He is at home, and he can only go to school, doctors’ appointments or meetings connected to the case, and must be with his parents. His junior license has been revoked and he has to check in daily with his probation officer. 16 year-old Jacqueline Zangrilli died at the scene, and a GoFundMe for her thus far has raised $130,000.

The Indian Point nuclear power plant in Westchester is on track to close today. The 2,000-megawatt plant has experienced safety and operational problems over the years. Suffern Teen Charged in Fatal Montebello Crash Has License Taken Away, Movement Restricted to School, Doctor Appointments
The Suffern teen charged in Saturday’s fatal crash in Montebello has had his junior driver’s license revoked and has been barred from communicating with the accident’s survivors. News 12 reports the unidentified 17-year-old was going 70 miles an hour in a 45 mile-an-hour zone on Route 202 when his Jaguar slammed into a utility pole early Saturday morning. He was in court Monday, and ordered to check in daily with probation. He can only go to school, doctors’ appointments or meetings connected to his case. He’s charged with manslaughter, DWI, vehicular manslaughter and other felonies. Three others in the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Funeral services for Suffern High School sophomore Jacqueline Zangrilli are being held tomorrow morning at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern.
