A Rockland County jail corrections officer already facing charges of mistreating female inmates and falsifying records is now facing an additional 78 counts including 52 felonies and 26 misdemeanors. That’s according to the Journal News. 35 year-old John Kezek formerly of Stony Point, was first indicted last month as part of an investigation into the jail by the Rockland Sheriff and District Attorney. He and another corrections officer have both pleaded not guilty and are free without bail.

The 47th annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade is the latest event to be cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. The New York Post says the group that runs the event is planning another smaller, COVID-safe event instead, but hasn’t released details just yet.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association says high-risk fall sports including football, volleyball and competitive cheer will be postponed until March 1st next year. Low and moderate risk fall sports are still authorized to begin practice on September 21st.
COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve added the first death here in the county since July 27th. The total, according to the Rockland Health Department, is now 675. We’ve got four in the hospital being examined, another five have been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 14,459 reported cases, 20 more than yesterday.
Two West Haverstraw Men Stabbed at Point Pleasant Beach, NJ; Teen in Custody
A 17-year-old from Newark has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon in Ocean County after two Rockland County men were stabbed Monday at Point Pleasant Beach. The Asbury Park Press says the unidentified suspect was being held in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center. 22 year-old Alex Galdamez and 18 year-old William Mazariegogo of West Haverstraw were listed in serious but stable condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

That audio courtesy of RocklandReport.com. 23-year-old Andy Urena-Marrero of Haverstraw was one of two people shot Friday night. A 20 year-old was treated at Nyack-Montefiore hospital and released. The shooting reportedly took place near Hudson Avenue. No arrests have been made. South Nyack Posts Video from Monday’s “Zoom Bombed” Online Meeting
The village of South Nyack has posted the video from their online meeting this week that was “Zoom-Bombed” with threats of violence. The board Monday hired a consulting company to study what it would take to remain a village or become a part of Orangetown. But the online meeting was interrupted seven times by at least two people who were disguised and featured Nazi imagery in the background, using vulgar language and the n-word repeatedly. South Nyack-Grandview Police Chief Daniel Wilson says several law enforcement agencies are involved in their investigation…
The suspects also posted a rainbow flag stating “this is what I do to LGBTs” and then showed a video of a beheading. A warning, the audio you are about to hear may be disturbing…
