The Town of Ramapo is mourning the loss of its long-time director of communications, Phil Tisi. Supervisor Michael Specht says the Sloatsburg resident died yesterday evening. On his Facebook page, Specht called Tisi a trusted friend and “a giant, a man whose dedication to our town and our residents will never be replaced.” Tisi was also a teacher in the former Ramapo Central School District. No further details were available.

NY Boulders’ 2020 Season Delayed
The New York Boulders announced today that the Frontier League has officially delayed the scheduled start of their 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No start date has been determined. The Frontier League, the largest independent baseball league in North America, will continue to monitor the situation. This is the Boulders’ first season in the Frontier League after spending their first nine as members of the Can-Am League. The season was scheduled to open on May 14th.

Rockland County Seeks State Assistance as Cases of Coronavirus Continue to Climb

Report: Monsey Hanukkah Stabbing Victim Dies
The 72 year-old victim stabbed while celebrating Hanukkah in Monsey last December has died of his injuries. The Journal News reports Josef Neumann, who was showing signs of emerging from a 59-day coma, died last night. 38 year-old Grafton Thomas of Greenwood Lake is charged by the feds and Rockland authorities in the attack. A Rockland judge still has to determine if Thomas is fit for trial, the defense claims he is not.
