Rockland’s county executive declared a State of Emergency Monday afternoon that is expected to last through April 15th, though it could be extended. Ed Day says there are four orders attached to the State of Emergency, including the closing of the public school districts for the next two weeks starting today, with and private schools doing the same tomorrow. Day says colleges will need to suspend classes, but the students will still have access to their dorms and dining halls. There’s also a no-hoarding component, which limits the purchase of certain products to two items, per household, per day.
