Two women were reportedly attacked by a knife-wielding woman last night in Haverstraw. News 12 reports the incident occurred near Liberty and Main Streets. The victims reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have yet been made.

Chestnut Ridge Church Plans Removed from Clarkstown Zoning Board Agenda for Monday Night
A Chestnut Ridge church looking to convert a vacant single-family home in New City on Route 304 into a satellite location will not be on tonight’s Clarkstown Zoning board agenda as originally expected. Clarkstown supervisor George Hoehmann says local law requires the group to go through the planning board and environmental review first. It’s not clear what the property owners are going to do next. The property is owned by Gibson Meeting Halls, and affiliated with the Foster Church, a non-denominational Christian church in Chestnut Ridge.
Measles Detected at Newark Airport Terminal C
An Israeli traveler with the measles may have sickened others at Newark Airport. Officials say the infected passenger was at Terminal C on April 16th. Anyone there between 4 and 8 in the morning could have been exposed, and symptoms could develop as late as May 7th. Meanwhile the official measles count here in Rockland has grown to 212.
Bronx Man Arrested after Alleged Stabbing in West Haverstraw
A Bronx man was arrested yesterday after allegedly stabbing a woman who had a restraining order against him in West Haverstraw. News 12 reported the stabbing took place near Samsondale Plaza on Route 9W. 23 year-old Anthony Russell faces attempted murder and other charges. The victim was reportedly in critical but stable condition at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
