A busy stretch of highway in Clarkstown has been re-opened this morning after a crash late last night that reportedly resulted in injuries. The incident took place on Route 304 between Congers Road and 2nd Street, shutting down all four lanes of traffic behind the Clarkstown Police Station. No other details were available.

Channel 7’s Eyewitness News says four other lawsuits against congestion pricing were heard late on Friday in Federal court, with hopes of a settlement between New York and New Jersey before the January fifth start date. Unless legal actions brought by Rockland, New Jersey and other plaintiffs succeed, congestion pricing will charge most drivers an extra nine dollars daily, for now, to get into the city and drive below 60th Street.
Former Rockland Corrections Officer Sentenced After Pleading Guilty to Incident at County Jail
A former Orange County man who worked in the Rockland Sheriff’s Department has been sentenced after admitting to exposing himself to a female inmate at the county jail and falsifying records at the facility. Rockland County D-A Tom Walsh says 39 year-old former Rockland Corrections Officer John Kezek of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Florida, New York, was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty three years ago to Tampering with Public Records and Official Misconduct. The incident took place in 2019. Kezek got five years’ probation with drug and alcohol conditions. An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.

Bronx Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Car from Stony Point and Crashing it on PIP
A Bronx woman was arrested after allegedly stealing a car from a North Rockland motel and then getting into a crash on the Palisades Parkway in the stolen car. Stony Point Police Lieutenant Daniel Schoales says 36 year-old Kayla Jones faces grand larceny charges after surveillance video allegedly showed her stealing the car from the Stony Point Budget Motor Inn last week. While police were investigating the theft, the car was involved in a single car crash on the Palisades Parkway. Jones was taken to Nyack Hospital where she was treated for injuries and arrested. She was due back in court yesterday. No additional information was available.
