Two Spring Valley men have been arrested and charged in the death of another village resident. 52-year-old Luis Pinduisaca-Villa was found dead in the street around one in the morning last Thursday. He was found near 55 North Myrtle Avenue with knife wounds in his neck area. Spring Valley Police say 27-year-old Oscar Garcia-Garcia and 40-year-old Eustaquio Diaz-Guitierrez are both charged with second degree murder. Both suspects were arraigned in Spring Valley Justice Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail. The Spring Valley Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 845-356-7400.

Report: Feds Investigating Cyber-Attack on Rockland County Clerk’s Office
The Rockland County Clerk’s office is offline for a few days at least, after what appears to be a coordinated cyber-attack, perhaps the same one that took down Suffolk County’s systems a few months ago. That’s according to News 12. Department of Homeland Security and FBI officials are investigating the Clerk’s office, which was informed earlier this week that its software administrator found potentially malicious files in the system. Records searching, home closings and title transfers are put on hold until the issue is resolved, possibly as early as Tuesday.
Man Found Dead on Johnson Street in Spring Valley
A man was found reported dead on the streets of Spring Valley overnight. That’s according to News 12. Police said the man was found on Johnson Street around 1 this morning. Spring Valley police, Rockland County sheriff investigators and New York State Troopers are on the scene, but no other details have yet been made available.
Person Injured After Being Struck By Train in Spring Valley
An unidentified person reportedly suffered leg injuries after being struck by a train in Spring Valley around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. DailyVoice.com reported the train had departed the Spring Valley Station heading toward the Dutch Lane crossing when the incident occurred. Service on the Pascack Valley Line was suspended in both directions as MTA Police investigated. The victim was treated at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. No other details were available.
Clarkstown Family Home Destroyed in House Fire Saturday
A Clarkstown family and their two dogs escaped a house fire unharmed Saturday, but the house was destroyed and they’re living now with nearby relatives. Clarkstown police say the fire started just before 2am on Christmas Eve at a home on Barry Lane in Bardonia. Police say the fire spread quickly throughout the attic and roof but there’s been no official determination as to what caused the blaze. It is under investigation by the Clarkstown Fire Inspector.
