Rockland’s Sheriff’s office is eager to find the mother, relatives, or anyone who may have information after human fetus remains were found Monday afternoon in a local sewer system catch drain. The Sheriff’s office says a sewer system employee found the remains at the Pascack Pumping Station at 169 Convent Road in Nanuet. In a statement, the sheriff’s office says the pumping station is checked regularly, and the fetus most likely entered the sewer system earlier on Monday. The fetus was turned over to the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The fetus was around 18 weeks old. Nothing else is known at this time. Anyone with information can confidentially call the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 845-638-5500.
