The tolls to cross the new Tappan Zee Bridge could increase to $5.75 for NY E-ZPass users by 2022. The Thruway will hold public hearings next year before the increase would take effect. Rockland and Westchester state senator David Carlucci said a toll payer advocate should be in place to address cashless tolling problems.
