A serious crash last night caused the closure of Route 304 in Orangetown. The accident occurred around 7:45 between Hillside Avenue and Washington Avenue in Pearl River. No other information about the accident was immediately available, but our traffic reporter indicates a downed pole still has the area closed, but that should be fixed shortly.

A Hillcrest rehab facility is taking precautionary measures after traces of Legionella bacteria were found in the water. Lohud.com says health officials and the facility’s management say none of the patients or the staff have fallen ill. The Pine Valley Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing told state health officials safeguards are in place. Reportedly, none of the tests came back positive for the most common form of Legionella bacteria found in humans.
Report: Pearl River Man Being Sued by Actor Alec Baldwin
The Pearl River man allegedly beaten up by actor Alec Baldwin last year in the city over a parking spot is now being sued by the presidential impersonator. The New York Post reports Baldwin is claiming Wojciech Cieszkowski lied when he accused the actor of punching him in the face in a fight last year. The Post says papers filed in court say Baldwin has hospital records and video surveillance to back his side of the story. Cieszkowski’s lawyer told The Post Baldwin’s suit is desperate and a bullying tactic.
