Jawonio Raises More Than $22,000 at New City Bowl-a-Thon
More than $22,000 was raised for the Jawonio Hometown Heroes at their 2nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon at New City Bowl last night. Funds raised at the event go towards the new Hometown Heroes Cabin for children with special needs in their Summer Education Program. Spring Valley Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Stabbing Incident
A Spring Valley woman faces attempted murder, assault, and weapon possession charges after she allegedly stabbed two people, including a 12-year-old girl, early Sunday morning. Published reports said Spring Valley police arrested Maria Norales-Bernardez for reportedly stabbing her boyfriend. An unidentified 12-year-old girl who also lives at the residence where the stabbing took place was also reportedly stabbed by Norales-Bernandez. She is being held at the Rockland County Jail.
