Orangetown Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his 30’s after a possible luring incident in Nyack yesterday morning. Police say a girl was walking to school near Depew Avenue and Anna Street around 7:50 when she was approached by the man. He reportedly had a thin beard, dark hair and a blue car, and asked her if she wanted a ride to school. Contact the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700.

NYS Bill Would Exempt First Responders from Property Taxes
Volunteer firefighters and emergency services workers could be exempt from state taxes if legislation introduced by a Rockland lawmaker passes.

incentives for future volunteers…
To qualify for the income tax exemption first responders would have to
attend at least 55% of their department activities, and have a minimum one
year of service.
Linen Sheet Company Moving to Orangetown
If you’ve walked the rail trail in Orangetown recently near Dominican
College, you may have seen a large construction project taking place in
the area. The property was owned by Aluf, sold to a linen company and
their building a warehouse. Orangetown supervisor Chris Day says it’s
close to some residential properties, but trees will be planted to create
a thicker buffer…
There’s no timetable yet for when the warehouse will begin operations.
