A new federal complaint alleges 20 pharmaceutical companies, including Par Pharmaceutical of Chestnut Ridge, conspired to hike generic drug prices, and over-charged consumers billions. The suit claims the companies colluded to significantly raise prices on as many drugs as possible. We reached out to Par for comment, but did not hear back. Taro Pharmaceuticals Sales and Marketing VP Ara Aprahamian of Bardonia was named along with 14 others as defendants in the case.

Organ Donation Group Seeks Volunteers

Haverstraw Mom Seeks Domestic Violence Justice in Bills Pending in NYS Legislature
A Haverstraw woman whose daughter was the victim of domestic violence is working with a local state senator to help make it easier for victims to file police reports. Brink’s Robbery Getaway Driver Judith Clark Freed from Prison
Brink’s robbery getaway driver Judith Clark was freed from prison on Friday. A parole board voted last month to release the 69-year-old from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. She will reportedly live supervised in the city. Clark was originally sentenced to 75 years to life, but Governor Andrew Cuomo commuted her sentence three years ago. Sgt. Edward O’Grady, officer Waverly Brown, and security guard Peter Paige were shot and killed during the robbery.
