The New York State DEC was called in to help coax a bear out of a tree in Ramapo Tuesday. Ramapo Police say the 170 pound, one year-old black bear was in the backyard of a residence near Blauvelt Road. Walk to Raise Awareness of Hearing Loss Issues Steps off in Yorktown Saturday
The Hearing Loss Association of America’s Walk4Hearing fundraiser is being held this weekend in Westchester. It’s a national program that raises awareness about hearing loss and good hearing health. Doctor Sophia Patrikis is a Clinical Audiologist with the Hudson Valley Audiology Center and the co-host of “Listen Up Rockland” heard here on WRCR the first Monday of each month. Boulders Opening Day Coming Next Week; Team to Face NYPD in Exhibition Game

The roster isn’t entirely final just yet. This Friday and Saturday the team is holding tryouts. Report: Two Women Injured in Slashing in Haverstraw
Two women were reportedly attacked by a knife-wielding woman last night in Haverstraw. News 12 reports the incident occurred near Liberty and Main Streets. The victims reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have yet been made.
