Route 45 in Chestnut Ridge was closed Friday night into the Saturday morning hours after a car collided with a bus. Ramapo Police say the car crossed the center line and hit the northbound bus. There was no information available about any injuries.

Orangetown Looks to Create New Dog Park
The town of Orangetown is looking to include an off-leash dog park near the new community center that’s still in the planning stages. Supervisor Chris Day says lots of residents have shown an interest in the park, which would be funded in part by state and private grants…
Day says the community center plans could be finalized in a couple months and ground broken at the start of summer.
Rockland Sheriff: Judith Clark Should Have Remained in Prison “Until the Lord Took Her”
The getaway driver in the 1981 Brink’s Nanuet mall heist that took the lives of two Nyack police officers and a security guard, and who was released on parole this week, could be out of prison by May 15th or sooner. Judith Clark originally was sentenced to 75 years to life, but Governor Andrew Cuomo commuted her sentence three years ago. Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco said as a documented domestic terrorist, she should have stayed behind bars, quote, “until the lord took her”…
Sgt. Edward O’Grady, officer Waverly Brown, and security guard Peter Paige were shot and killed during the robbery. Clark will reportedly live with a friend in the city and work for a group called “Hour Children,” a non-profit group that helps incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children.
Bronx Man Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges in Rockland
A Bronx man charged with being involved with a large-scale drug trafficking operation in Rockland pleaded guilty yesterday in county court. Rockland’s acting D-A says Elio Duarte pleaded guilty to selling drugs in Haverstraw last December. Duarte was among 11 people facing felony drug charges when the heroin ring was busted in February. He’ll be sentenced on June 4th.
