Judith Clark, the getaway driver in the 1981 Brink’s Heist at The Nanuet Mall that killed two Nyack policemen and a security guard, has been granted parole. Clark has been in prison for 37 years. The now 69 year-old was the getaway driver in the heist when Sgt. Edward O’Grady, officer Waverly Brown, and security guard, Peter Paige, were shot and killed during the robbery. Rockland County Executive Ed Day called her release a cruel and unjust slap in the face to their families…
Orangetown supervisor Chris Day says the town board had passed a memorializing resolution earlier this month opposing her release…
She had originally been sentenced to 75 years to life, but Governor Andrew Cuomo commuted her sentence three years ago. There’s no word yet on when Clark will be released.

Rockland’s appeal of a judge’s move to lift the measles state of emergency is expected to be argued in court tomorrow. At a press conference announcing a new strategy to attack the outbreak, county attorney Tom Humbach said he believes Rockland is on more stable ground in requiring residents in affected areas to prove they’ve been vaccinated…
Rockland County’s Health Commissioner on Tuesday launched two new orders, one requiring people with or exposed to the measles to stay away from public places for up to 21 days, except for medical or legal issues, and to provide the health department with details of their illness. The second order requires students in the 10952 and 10977 zip codes to have their MMR vaccinations or stay home. There are now 190 confirmed cases in the county.
