A Bronx man charged with being involved with a large-scale drug trafficking operation in Rockland pleaded guilty yesterday in county court. Rockland’s acting D-A says Elio Duarte pleaded guilty to selling drugs in Haverstraw last December. Duarte was among 11 people facing felony drug charges when the heroin ring was busted in February. He’ll be sentenced on June 4th.

1981 Brink’s Heist Getaway Driver, Judith Clark, Granted Parole
Judith Clark, the getaway driver in the 1981 Brink’s Heist at The Nanuet Mall that killed two Nyack policemen and a security guard, has been granted parole. Clark has been in prison for 37 years. The now 69 year-old was the getaway driver in the heist when Sgt. Edward O’Grady, officer Waverly Brown, and security guard, Peter Paige, were shot and killed during the robbery. Rockland County Executive Ed Day called her release a cruel and unjust slap in the face to their families…

She had originally been sentenced to 75 years to life, but Governor Andrew Cuomo commuted her sentence three years ago. There’s no word yet on when Clark will be released.
