A 24 year-old Spring Valley woman was ticketed after turning into an oncoming police car that was coming through an intersection and responding to an emergency call yesterday. In a Facebook post, Ramapo Police said the police car was pushed into another car operated by a 57 year-old Suffern man. No one was reported injured. It was not clear where the accident occurred.

Area Lawmakers Weigh in on Two-State Proposal for New York
An assemblyman covering Rockland and Orange counties likes the idea of splitting the state into two, and thinks it is worth exploring. Republican Stephen Hawley, whose district borders Canada between Rochester and Buffalo, wants a referendum to split the state into two. Reward for Eugene Palmer Grows to $30,000
The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Eugene Palmer has grown to $30,000. The Town of Haverstraw Police Department and the United States Marshal Service recently added ten grand to the 20-thousand that the FBI has been offering for tips leading to the North Rockland man wanted in the 2012 killing of his daughter-in-law. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Cruger or Detective Sergeant Lutz at 845-354-1500. Palmer is known to be interested in auto racing and is a car enthusiast. He is also an experienced hunter and outdoorsman. The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
