The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Eugene Palmer has grown to $30,000. The Town of Haverstraw Police Department and the United States Marshal Service recently added ten grand to the 20-thousand that the FBI has been offering for tips leading to the North Rockland man wanted in the 2012 killing of his daughter-in-law. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Cruger or Detective Sergeant Lutz at 845-354-1500. Palmer is known to be interested in auto racing and is a car enthusiast. He is also an experienced hunter and outdoorsman. The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Orange County Man Charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, after Confrontation at Garnerville 7-Eleven
A family of eight, including six children, was allegedly run down on purpose by a man in North Rockland who had gotten into an argument with the father over smoking. Haverstraw Police say the mother of the family died after the incident went down yesterday afternoon at the 7-Eleven on Central Highway in Garnerville. A 7-Eleven employee told WABC-TV a man smoking outside the store became enraged with the father who asked him to stop. 35 year-old Jason Mendez of Washingtonville reportedly got into his car and drove into the store striking all of the man’s family members, and then ran back over them as he drove out. Victims were taken to area hospitals. Mendez reportedly refused to drop a knife when approached by police, who then Tased him. Mendez was charged with second degree murder and 7 counts of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned last night.
Spring Valley Murder Suspect Nabbed in Boston
A suspect is in custody in Boston after he fled the scene of a murder yesterday on Northbrook Road in Spring Valley. Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel says a dispute led to the fatal stabbing of 40 year-old Jairo Danilo Sandoval del Cid of Pomona. Weidel says 23 year-old Jose Alejandro Madrid of Ramapo stabbed the victim at least twice in the chest and the back. The Rockland Medical Examiner is doing an autopsy.
