Rockland County and New York State may be losing population but there is no shortage of houses, with more new ones constantly on the way. That’s the word from WRCR’s resident real estate expert, Naomi Streicher of Realty Teams in Pomona. Streicher says houses continue to sell, though there may be less spending along with fewer people…

The Stony Point Library’s budget got an increase from the town for 2019, its first boost in a decade. The East Main Street property that the Rose Memorial Library had bought for a possible expansion isn’t working out, but they may get an adjoining property, formerly the ambulance corps. But Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan says the costs are way too high at this time…

Voters turned down a measure 14 months ago that would have cost each Stony Point household around $60 each.

After 14 years of service with the County Radio Headquarters, 44-Control Operator 35, Suzanne Bates, is retiring. She’s working her last shift today and then after the 4pm bell rings, she’s off and into retirement. Congrats, Suzanne!
