The New York Boulders played game two of their critical three-game road trip last night against the 2nd place Ottawa Titans. The Boulders won their second straight game, 2-0 the score last night. The Titans only managed four hits. The 4th place Boulders are two games behind the 3rd place Tri-City ValleyCats with just four games left in the season. Tonight’s game three of the Ottawa series gets underway at 6:30. The Boulders will return home for the final three games of the season against the New England Knockouts on Friday.

Patience Wearing Thin as Ramapo Weighs PSC Intervention with O&R to Get LED Lights Turned On
A strongly-worded letter may be in the offing if the local power company won’t electrify new LED lights the town of Ramapo has spent considerable time and effort to install. Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht says if Orange & Rockland’s CEO doesn’t respond to and meet with town officials to discuss the matter, the state Public Service Commission may need to get involved…
Specht says the lights take minutes to turn on, but O&R has said it’ll take three years. O&R Senior Communications Specialist, Vito Signorile says the company understands Ramapo residents’ frustration…
The town has had to install temporary solar lights in some areas where safety is a concern.
Rockland’s Former Congressman Attacks Current Rep. as Being Anti-Cop
Rockland’s former congressman, looking to get his job back, slammed Rockland’s current Representative, Republican Mike Lawler, as anti-cop and who has failed to fully support the police. Democrat Mondaire Jones says Lawler’s record speaks for itself…
At a press conference in Nanuet Friday, Lawler went on the attack, calling his November opponent anti-police and calling his record on police matters “radical.” Lawler said Jones has supported letting cop-killers and murderers vote from prison and advocated funding be taken from police departments.
Local Congressman Hopeful Name-calling Subsides in Presidential Campaign
It’s one of the craziest election cycles that we’ve seen…that’s according to Rockland’s congressman. Hudson Valley U.S. Representative, Republican Mike Lawler of the 17th District, says, assuming they happen, debates will be a good chance for former President Donald Trump to get away from name-calling and, in Harris’ case, the failure to even hold a press conference…
A debate is slated for September tenth, but it’s unclear at the moment whether it will happen.
Local Lawmakers Weigh-in on RFK’s Presidential Campaign Suspension
After suspending his presidential campaign and endorsing former President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Junior has been added to the Trump-Vance Transition Team. Last week, just before RFK called it quits and joined team Trump, Rockland Assemblyman John McGowan, a Republican, said he’d prefer to not have the RFK distractions, and questioned whether he’d move the needle at all…
Haverstraw Supervisor Howard Phillips, a Democrat and an RFK supporter, told “The Morning Show” last week, his heart was in the right place…
Trump also added Former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard to the Transition Team. She switched her party affiliation not long ago from Democrat to Independent.
