The first officially-licensed, adult-use, recreational cannabis dispensary in Rockland is now open. That’s according to the Journal News. Treehouse Cannabis opened its shop last week on Route 59 in Nyack where a former car dealership once stood. The store also offers delivery services if you can’t get to the shop itself. Pot has been legal for medical usage in New York since 2016, with recreational marijuana getting approval in 2021. The roll-out of legal weed sales has been plagued with a variety of issues, ranging from complications for applicants in getting their licenses, to shops that have been selling it illegally.

Auction Giant eBay Drops AMEX from Accepted Credit Cards
If you liked using your American Express card to pay for things on eBay, you’re going to have to use something else. UPI reported the auction website dropped AMEX as of Saturday due to what it called “unacceptably high” processing fees. NY State Police ID Man Who Drowned Sunday in Lake Sebago
The man who drowned Sunday at Lake Sebago has been identified. New York State Police say 31 year-old Carlos Gomez Tay of Palisades Park, New Jersey, was at the lake with his family and had gone swimming. Around 6:30 Sunday evening he swam out about 100 feet away from his family and then started calling for help. Police say he went under the water and did not resurface. Family members tried to help then called 911. He was found by the Thiells Fire Department and Stony Point Dive team.
